Description

Villa da Ribeira Brava, with it's cobbled streets and colorful dwellings, is a popular tourist destination and the main town on São Nicolau. The cathedral in this photo has been described as "imposing" and is located in the town square, and holds daily mass. The narrow cobbled streets all lead away from this town square which also is home to a bust of a local philanthropist.
