Lede: Trying to research an unusual item with virtually no written information was hard, but these students cracked the book wide open.
In this episode, students from Rhode Island College Professor Amy Barlow’s FYS class describe a unique handmade book from Special Collections. The book, titled “The Paper Folding Book,” was likely created as an educational tool for kindergarten classes. Though the origins of the book are unknown, the students speculate that it was made by a student teacher at the Rhode Island Normal School in the early 1900s.
