An undated photograph of Fountain Square on Block Island, likely from around 1900. The main structure, at center, is Harbor Cottage, constructed in the 1880s. The statue, pictured at the right, was installed in 1896 and represents the biblical character "Rebekah at the Well," and was installed by the Women's Christian Temperance Movement. Photographs in this collection were made between 1895-1929. The photographed is captioned on rear, "Block Island."
