Description

The Salisbury Cathedral. The late style of the upper part of the tower was conceived by Richard of Farleigh and Bishop Wyvil, independent of the original builders of the cathedral. The tallest spire in Britain has never stood perpendicular and presently tilts 27 inches to the southeast. The clock dates back to 1386, making it Europe's oldest working clock.
