Description

Farm land and crops are divided by stone walls in Ribiera Brava, a municipality in the hinterland of Sano Nicolau. Unlike much of the Cape Verde islands, the region remains green even in the dry season. The narrow flat section between the mountains is used as a road and homes are also built into the mountains, visible here in the background.
