Description

This dirt road connects Mindelo to Calhau, the travel time between the two is about twenty five minutes by automobile. The Brandt Travel Guide describes the road as a 'tour through all the ecological problems facing both the island and Cape Verde as a whole." The road follows the Ribeira do Calhau, a 15 km stream that is almost entirely dry, excepting rainy days.
