Journey in a Volkswagon minibus across the arid interior of Boa Vista on the way to Praia Curralhino, also known as Praia Santa Monica. Note that despite extreme drought conditions, there is a presence of goats, donkeys and the occasional bovine. Historically, Boa Vista was well known for its exportation of animal hides.
